Disc 05: Identifying Sentence Errors

Disc 5 is concerned with the Indentifying Sentence Errors questions of the SAT. First, the basic rules of grammar as tested on the SAT are all taught through example questions, then numerous sample questions are fully explained.

  • Basic Grammar: D-G: 5-19; Usage errors, singular/plural, misplaced modifiers, and incorrect comparisons are all examined and explained through sample questions.
  • Basic Grammar: H-L: 5-37; Ambiguity, idiom, parallel constructions, more vs. most, and redundancy finish off the basic grammar section.
  • Identifying Sentence Errors #1: 5-55; 18 example questions, representing a variety of different errors, are fully explained.

  • Identifying Sentence Errors #4: 5-109; 9 example questions.
