Private Sat Tutor
SAT Study Guide
I have been a full-time private SAT Tutor for decades. I have taught literally thousands of students, among them some of the finest young minds in the nation. Are you thinking about the SAT or ACT? I know the process can be overwhelming. I’m here to help and my track record speaks for itself. I make it a point to stay in practice by taking the tests I tutor for—I’ve taken the ACT so many times they’ve banned me for life! I’ve gotten 1600s, 2400s, and 36s. I am passionate about my work, and it shows in the end product.
I am available for Private Tutoring Sessions both in-person in Livingston, NJ as well as on the internet over Skype.
If you have questions I can answer, give me a call! I love talking about this stuff…and I have a wealth of experience to draw on.
Video tutoring is a great choice for those who cannot come see me in person. I ship each of my students a box full of materials, and I keep a duplicate copy of those materials here with me. When we work together on video, we are looking at identical copies of any paper tests in use.
I currently take the SAT several times each year, with my personal best being five 1600s in a row on the ‘old’ format SAT (pre-2005), numerous 2400s on the new SAT and 36s on the ACT. I have been doing this for over twenty-five years—and in that time I’ve had the opportunity to work with students at every level of ability. Some of my former students have improved over 800 points, but that sheer numerical increase is literally impossible for a student who begins near the top of the range (>2000 on the Sophomore PSAT). Some students want perfect scores—and I’ve certainly coached my share of those. During this past year, I’ve seen multiple 34s, 35s, and 36s, both overall and on each section of the test. My students achieve their goals because I focus primarily on retention of what is learned, whether from video, books, or in-person tutoring. Without that, after all, there can be no improvement.
Almost as stressful as actually taking the SAT or ACT is finding the correct Tutor. There are so many places that offer tutoring. My system provides results and once in a while one of my students brings home a perfect score. SAT Tutor in a Box and DVDs4theSAT are take home SAT course study guides for test prep if private lessons are not for you. In these products each section of the SAT is broken down, and explained to the student in a manner by which they critically analyze the questions asked and how to identify the correct answer.
